BACKGROUND
Windle International Somalia (WISOM) is an International Non-Governmental organization with oversight support and coordination by the regional office in Nairobi. WISOM was founded with the belief that good education was essential if Africa was to meet the challenges it faced. WISOM is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Accountant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY
• Undertake day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payables, accounts receivables, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, monitoring, and financial reporting for specific projects/grants.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local tax laws, and donor financial regulations.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for management, donors, and auditors.
• Strengthen internal financial controls and processes for greater transparency.
• Support grant management lifecycle (from proposal to closure).

Skills and qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration- in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA(K)/ACCA qualifications are desirable.
• Proven experience (2-4 years) in accounting, preferably within the NGO/Non-Profit sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software preferably SAP and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
