About the opportunity

Chemonics UK is seeking an experienced and politically astute Team Leader who can bring practical, flexible and locally grounded leadership to complex development challenges in Somaliland.

This role requires more than technical expertise. We’re looking for someone who understands that Somaliland’s political settlement, governance structures, operating environment and development priorities are distinct from those of south-central Somalia, and who can make informed decisions that reflect this context.

The Team Leader role will lead an integrated and adaptive technical assistance facility designed to strengthen Somaliland’s systemic resilience by providing politically informed technical advice, maintaining strong analytical and advisory capacity, delivering responsive and demand-led support, and deploying flexible funding where it can have the greatest impact. The role will also involve building strong partnerships with institutions and stakeholders and mobilising high-quality technical expertise to respond effectively to emerging priorities.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large and multidisciplinary technical assistance portfolio, working alongside government institutions, partners and other stakeholders to strengthen capability, unlock reform opportunities and deliver practical solutions to complex challenges. fhJ6uZ4 B2x1ta
